“We’re going to get some tests at some point tonight, tomorrow, and then we’ll know more in the next couple days,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “But the strength was great. The range of motion, good. So we’re encouraged.”
All that Game 2 noise went away when Shohei Ohtani injured his left shoulder on a failed seventh-inning stolen-base attempt and lay on the ground in obvious agony. The Dodger Stadium crowd quieted quickly, then got mighty tense when the Yankees nearly came back in the ninth. But while the injury to their iconic designated hitter hung heavy in the air, the Dodgers were able to feed off the Freddie Freeman frenzy from a night earlier with a 4-2 win Saturday night to take a commanding 2-0 edge in this best-of-seven Fall Classic.
Game 7 world series 2019
Before the national anthem sung by Nicole Scherzinger, a moment of silence took place in honor of umpire Eric Cooper, who had died on October 20. Former Astro Brian McCann threw out the ceremonial first pitch to former teammate Evan Gattis. Max Scherzer started for the Nationals, while Gerrit Cole started for the Astros. With two outs in the bottom of the first inning, Yuli Gurriel hit a two-run double, giving the Astros a 2–0 lead. In the top of the second inning, Ryan Zimmerman hit a home run to cut the Astros’ lead to 2–1. Juan Soto led off the top of the fourth inning with a home run to tie the game, 2–2. Soto became the fourth-youngest player to hit a home run in a World Series; Andruw Jones in 1996 was the youngest to date. Adam Eaton batted in a run in the top of the fifth inning, followed two batters later by a Soto two-run double, giving the Nationals a 5–2 lead.

Home plate umpire Lance Barksdale’s strike zone during the game drew attention, with some sports journalists, including Jeff Passan, increasing their appeals to MLB for a computerized strike zone. Two women in the crowd flashed their bare chests during the game—briefly visible on television—in an attempt to raise awareness for their website, claiming proceeds from the site «will be going to women with breast cancer». Along with a third woman, they were removed from the game and were banned from all MLB stadiums «indefinitely». U.S. President Donald Trump was booed and «chants of ‘Lock him up!’ broke out in some sections» when he and wife Melania were introduced after the third inning during the regular serviceperson recognition segment. This led to some discussion in the media of the civility required of the event and the larger political discourse taking place. This was not the first time at a World Series that a President was booed; at the 1931 World Series, taking place during Prohibition, fans in Philadelphia had chanted at Herbert Hoover, «We want beer! We want beer!»
Oct. 15, 1964 — Cardinals 7, Yankees 5With Bob Gibson and Mel Stottlemyre both working on two days’ rest, Stottlemyre was lifted after four innings, while Gibson went the distance to claim the World Series for St. Louis.
Greinke, meanwhile, put on a pitching clinic with his awesome arsenal of offspeed stuff. The Nationals’ swings included so many “excuse me’s” you would think they were walking through a crowd. The weak contact was such that Greinke, an athletic and gifted defender, had four assists in the first four innings alone.
This victory marks the first World Series championship in the history of the Nationals franchise, including the years spent as the Montreal Expos from 1968 to 2004. No team from Washington, D.C., had appeared in the World Series since the Washington Senators lost to the New York Giants in 1933. The Washington Senators also won the World Series in 1924, taking down the New York Giants in seven games.
The hardest game in the world
A gaming sub free from the news, hype and drama that surround current releases, catering instead to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it’s price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don’t meet the system requirements, or just haven’t had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
Celeste is a game where the controls are polished to perfection, yet still requires precise skill from the player. Madeline must climb a mountain while avoiding spikes, timing mid-air dashes, evading horrifying enemies, and working against strong winds. And all of that is just in the easy base game. If the players choose to take on the more challenging B-Side stages; get ready for a world of hurt as you try, try … TRY again to get your jumps exactly right. Yet the game difficulty doesn’t end there; If you’re truly determined, there’s the absurd C-Side stages, and the ridiculously insane Golden Strawberry challenge. Hope that strawberry pie is worth it.
We talked about finding areas on the map where blue balls don’t reach. This is a valuable strategy, but there are some levels that actually have designated checkpoints. These checkpoints allow you to restart at them once you die instead of having to start the level over from the beginning. Not only do they save your progress, but they also offer you a chance to catch your breath and figure out how to solve the next portion of the level.
Some may be surprised to see Sekiro not included in games listed in the number three spot. The truth is, while Sekiro is also a FromSoftware release, it’s not a ‘Souls’ game. While it shares many similarities with Dark Souls, Elden Ring, etc, this is a hard-as-nails single-player-only adventure. In a Souls game, you can summon allies to help you take down a difficult boss, essentially letting them share the load. However, in Sekiro, players either “git good” or they die trying – many times.
Mad world game
On August 19, 2008, Sega announced that MadWorld would not be released in Germany. Despite the fact that Australia is also known for strict video game classification, the game was released there unedited, with an MA15+ rating for «strong bloody violence and strong coarse language».
When Jack arrived at Port Valenda, he started to remember his daughter. In the flashback, Jack was standing in front of Stela’s grave with flowers in his hand. He remembered how he was somewhere outside the orphanage with Stela after Jack decided to adopt her. Amala called Jack, talking about Stela. Jack said that she was his responsibility now. Then it flashed to Jack in a room with Stela’s body underneath a cloth. Amala told Jack that Stela wasn’t killed by the terrorists, but instead she was killed by friendly fire by one of the Bureau agents who’s leaving the Bureau after sending his resignation. Jack turned his head and saw a hallucination of Stela, who held his hand and said that he was the «best daddy ever.» It flashed back to the cemetery with Jack shedding a single tear for the first time.
The game was developed using Softimage for creation of the game’s art, and a custom engine built to handle the art aesthetic and limitations of the Wii’s memory. The game’s sets are completely modeled with complex lighting features, but only normal maps are used to draw the game, avoiding the high-processing costs of light maps or layered textures. This allowed the game’s artists to have finer control of visibility and color balance in the game. Though the developers attempted to add reflection mapping into the game, they found it did not fit well with the comic-book style and dropped it. Explosions and other effects, normally created in other games using particle effects to achieve a factor of realism, were modeled with particles in MadWorld, but using specially-designed images to retain the comic book style.
Jack’s background in the alternate universe of MadWorld appears to be similar to his Anarchy Reigns counterpart, including periods when he was in the Navy Seals and Special Ops groups, until he went rogue. He also had a daughter named Stela Fitzgerald until she was killed by a Milvallen agent.
To capture the unique, gritty feeling of underground comics, everything in MadWorld – from its environments to the characters themselves – is rendered entirely in black, white and red. Monochromatic graphics are a rarity in video games. To create MadWorld’s unique visuals, we at PlatinumGames explored all sorts of methods, tweaking the contrast and visual balance over and over until at last we came upon a two-tone look that truly slays.
