Soon she hears the group of careers and Peeta approaching. Katniss climbs the nearest tree. The careers spot her but none of them are able to climb the tree. One of them as the bow from the cornucopia and attempts to shoot Katniss with it but fails. At a loss, Peeta suggests that they wait underneath the tree for Katniss to come down on her own.
